There are 2 reasons why Pluto is no longer a planet.
1. Pluto's orbit crosses the orbit of Neptune. A planet has it's own orbit and it's orbit does not crosses that of others.
2. Pluto is too small to hold an atmosphere. All planet has atmospheres but very different with eachother.
