Polydectes
intended to harm Perseus when he sent him to kill Medusa because he wants
to marry Danae forcefully, Perseus mother. He really likes Danae but she
rejected her so he almost married Danae forcefully if not for Perseus so, in
order to take Perseus away, he send it to a very dangerous
mission. .
