To Preserve Philippine Folk dance
For me to preserve and strengthen our folk dance by promoting and performing it in any way, such as group dance competitions at school, local, national or foreign, with the support of teachers particularly in mapeh. And I will also use my voice as a member of the community to talk and inform people what the importance of folk dance is and should not be forgotten.And to explain that there is its own significance in every gesture and gestures in dancing that will make you amazed. I'm trying to put them back to the past years when folk dance worked. Include it in our day-to-day school events, including after the flag ceremony.
Developing the preservation of Philippine folk performing arts by teachers can be enriched by competitions, introducing students to the use of indigenous music and instruments, choreographing dances that illustrate cultural traditions, developing a folk performing arts culture, investing in the various facilities, instruments, costumes, and watching cultural shows.
The following recommendations were given, in the light of the findings and conclusions of the report. The school that run folk performing arts competitions to allow students to showcase their skills in performing arts. First, teachers can introduce students to the use of indigenous music and instruments by viewing films and playing on stage. Teachers in physical education can perform choreographic dances that demonstrate cultural practices in the community where the school is located. The school should investigate potential ways to invest in the various equipment, instruments and other materials such as costumes and props that can be used to teach performing arts in people.
They should be encouraged more to watch cultural shows inside and outside the school for the benefit of the students in folk performing arts. The school should create a folk performing arts society or organization to showcase and promote the talents of the students.
- There are already many choreographers who create "modern" folk dances to respond to the demand for ever new material that dancers want to have (and, of course, payment to the choreographer / teacher to teach those dances). In the same sense that folk music developed the singer / songwriter who performed and wrote songs "in the folk or traditional way," the same desire influenced folk dance. If the organizational continuity of folk dancing is so significant, the new material would gradually replace the old forms, and "preserved" folk dance. For me, the way all communities and cultures grow and evolve is part and parcel of this.
