One way is discovering how easily we humans can be manipulated in buying products or supporting a political position. For example, a news report about a police involved shooting incident inserts a racial aspect immediately and long before the truth is known. That instant report manipulates people to arrive at an unfair conclusion. Technology has the ability to outright censor information and we are none the wiser. Ignorance is bliss, and bliss is manipulated.
