Research has shown that as the youth population of a community, we are vital to the sustainability and growth of our society. Thus, in order to give back to our communities and make them better for both us and future generations, it is imperative that we all play an active role in shaping how our society develops. Fight COVID 19 is a grassroots organization looking for your help in raising awareness about COVID 19 (a disease which affects youth). We want to get people talking about this serious issue while working on creating solutions via partnerships with organizations like The Center On Addiction And Substance Abuse (CASA) at Columbia University. The CASA has a long history of providing effective services and treatment to youth in New York City, so we are excited in working with them and others towards an awareness of COVID 19 throughout the city.
Over the past 30 Years, Drug Abuse Awareness Classrooms have been created to educate youth on drugs and how they can be dealt with in a healthy manner. This initiative has proven effective in preventing youth from developing drug addiction. Therefore, Fight COVID 19 is looking to increase awareness about this class by holding rallies in Columbia's existing communities as well as creating events outside that demographic group. As such, Fight COVID 19 is looking for 100-200 active members to join our efforts towards awareness and prevention.
