It looks like the boy is looking at the boat maybe because one of his family member is on it. Or maybe because the boy is dreaming to ride a oat someday. Maybe he is imaging himself to be there when the time comes that he can afford to buy a ticket or own a big boat like that. Maybe he is dreaming to be a seaman as well.
