From a 10 cm by 20 cm rectangular cardboard, a square with side length 8 cm is cut. What is the perimeter of the shaded area?

 

 

Sagot :

If the shaded area is the square, the perimeter is 4(8) which is 32.

if it isn't the square, it's the parts of the rectangle that were left after "cutting out" the square 
P= 2 + 10 + 12+ 20 =44

It depends on what is the shaded area.
