What kind of polynomial is 2x(-4x + 1) ?
2x(-4x - 1)
(-4x)(2x) - (1)(2x)
= -8x² - 2x
It is an example of a binomial.
A binomial is where a polynomial has two terms, one that has a variable and it is commonly x and a constant.
The variable here is x with an exponent on one of the terms so it could be also called a quadratic equation.
