I think that the caste system in India creates one of the most controversial social problems -- lack of equality. People are segregated by means of their wealth and position or lack thereof. The more money and power you had, the better people treat you, but what about those less privileged, those who can't afford even a single cup of rice? They continue to suffer maltreatment against them while also struggling just to put food on their tables.
2.) What impact does the caste system created in society?
Society believes that those who are the higher up in this hierarchy deserve to get treated with respect and modesty; this is the opposite for those in the lower castes. These people become targets of discrimination, abuse, manipulation, etc. This caste system brings a division among the Indian people.
