TAGUIG SCHOOL PROMOTES WASTE SEGREGATION
A school in Taguig City encourage students to watch over their parents' compliance with proper garbage segregation at home as part of their elctive subject.
The BANTAY-MAGULANG WASTE MANAGMENT project was strongly supported by the parent,teacher and student leaders during its launch over the weekend at the Gat Andres Bonifacio Elementary School in barangay the fort Taguig City.
The parents and local officials and covenant to show their support for the program.
the project aims to teach the children the importance of segregating biodegradable waste from non biodegradable ways on achieve the project goals of decreasing the collected garbage in the city by 50%.
based on the program,each household will be encouraged to separate the garbage that can be sold at junk shop to avoid adding to the ways volume,as well as those that are still recyclable to be made useful through the assistance of the solid waste management office (SWAMO) OF THE CITY OF BARANGGAY.
It will be monitored and reported by the children in their classes to ensure their compliance.parents who are found to be non compliant based on their children's report will be visited by the program administrators to encourage them to be good example to their children.
