What is the area of a trapezoid if the height is 7 m and the parallel sides are 8 m and 14 m?

The formula for the area of the trapezoid is:

Substitute with the given quantitites
[tex]A=\frac{1}{2}(7 m)(8 m+14 m)[/tex]
A=(3.5 m)(22 m)
A=77 m²
