different colors are emitted depending on their frequency. we can see colors because they are considered visible light waves
each color either has low or high frequency waves.... for example is
red and violet, red has low frequency waves and violet has high frequency waves

Because we see various light waves. Some though, human eyes cannot see. The color white, has all colors and it is broken down, so we see colors.
