Conditional, Converse, Inverse, and Contrapositive Statements
A conditional statement is written in "if - then" form. "If" and "Then" are the beginning of the sentences. An inverse statement is the opposite of a conditional statement. A converse statement is a statement where hypothesis and conclusion of a conditional statement were interchanged. A contrapositive statement is the opposite of the inverse statement. Consider the examples below.

6. Conditional: If two circles have equal diameters, then they are
congruent.
Converse: If they are congruent, then the two circles have equal
diameters.
Inverse: If two circles do not have equal diameters, then they are
not congruent.
Contrapositive: If they are not congruent, then the two circles do not
have equal diameters.
7. Conditional: If an angle measures between 90 and 180 degrees, then
it is an obtuse angle.
Converse: If it is an obtuse angle, then the angle measures between
90 and 180 degrees.
