Nine developmental tasks are fundamental to adolescence. These are important in the process of growth and development that you go through to develop to a person that you want to become. These tasks are the following:
1. Accept your body and its characteristics.
2. Gain a masculine or feminine view of yourself. 3. Become more independent of parents and other adults.
4. Develop an interest and concern for your community.
5. Form a more mature relationship with both sexes.
6. Learn more about who you are.
7. Get ready for marriage and family life as an adult.
8. Develop a set of own values.
9. Learn to solve problems in an adult way.​
